1) First step is to download Windows 8 from Microsoft website.

2) To safeguard against problems it is desirable to download the preview from this source only.

3) Download Windows 8 and save it to your hard drive.

4) Next we have to install the software Virtual Box in Ubuntu 11.10

5) Open dash, type terminal and Open the terminal window.

6) In the terminal type in this command without the quotations: “sudo add-apt-repository “deb http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian oneiric contrib”"

7) This will dd the repo for Virtual Box to your Ubuntu OS.

8) Next we shall have to download it’s key. To do this type in terminal: “wget -q http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian/oracle_vbox.asc -O- | sudo apt-key add -”

9) Next we shall update the list by typing in “sudo apt-get update”.

10) Once updated we can select and download Virtual Box from the list.

11) By typing in the following code we can install Virtual Box “sudo apt-get install Virtualbox”.

12) After you type in the code you will be asked if you wish to install the software. Answer yes and wait for the download to finish.
